Sumant is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of March Capital. Sumant leads investments in cloud-driven enterprise platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, and network infrastructure as well as companies supporting the Indian market. In his two decades of venture capital, Sumant has generated multiple meaningful exits in companies that he has either incubated or been the first institutional investor. His most recent exits include BillDesk (acquired by Prosus) and CarTrade Tech (NSE: CARTRADE), both valuable companies capitalizing on the digitization of the Indian Economy in their respective industry sectors. Previously, he was CEO and Founder of Banco SmartBank S.A, the first cloud-native open bank in Brazil; Board Member of AsaaS Payments; B.M. of SNIPS (acquired by SONOS); Chairman of the Board of Moip Pagamentos (acq by PAGS), Ciashop e-Commerce (acq by TOTVs), B.M. of iMusica (acq by América Móvil); B.M. of Bolsa de Mulher Group (acq by Batanga Media); B.M. of Hands Mobile (acq by RBS Group); Managing Director of IdeiasNet S.A (PADT3); and Head of Corp Dev of Buscape.com, sold to Naspers in 2009 and IPO in B3 in 2021. Eduardo Rosman fulfills the role of Head of Financials Equity Research as Partner at BTG Pactual, the largest independent investment bank in Latin America. Eduardo began his career at BTG Pactual nearly 15 years ago when he started out as an intern, in 2007. He’s now responsible for the division covering LatAm Financials in the equity research team, which is the sector he started covering in 2008- one month before Lehman Brothers meltdown. Eduardo has been recognized numerous times by institutional investors as one of the best financial analysts in Brazil and greater LatAm. Last year in 2020, Eduardo was ranked “Best Overall Analyst” in Brazil by Apimec, a local regulator.
