What we're about

Come learn the beautiful arts of Tai Chi and Qigong! Tap into your inner grace and power. Enjoy enhanced agility, balance, flexibility, improved energy, and stamina levels. Tai Chi is also associated with enhanced brain plasticity, with research suggesting regular practice can ward off dementia. These mindful arts also improve mood and mental state - lowering levels of depression, stress, and anxiety. We will be focusing on Dr Jahnke's free-flowing forms that make Tai Chi easy and accessible to all ability levels. Qigong enables us to activate our body's Relaxation Response - taking us out of the physically taxing "fight or flight" mode and allowing our body to recover from the physiological effects of stress. Both are beautiful mind-body practices that I look forward to sharing with you!

"Of all the exercises, I should say that T'ai Chi is the best. It can ward off disease, banish worry and tension, bring improved physical health and prolong life. It is a good hobby for your whole life, the older you are, the better. It is suitable for everyone - the weak, the sick, the aged, children, the disabled and blind. It is also an economical exercise. As long as one has three square feet of space, one can take a trip to paradise and stay there to enjoy life for thirty minutes without spending a single cent." -T.T. Liang (Liang Tung-Tsai, 1900-2002), T'ai Chi Ch'uan for Health and Self-Defense

"If you want to be healthy and live to one hundred, do Qigong." -Dr. Mehmet Oz
