iPhone / Android Developers: We'll train you!

If you're a rock star developer of desktop apps (non-mobile), and want to get into mobile development, join ArcTouch. We'll train you!

We are hiring skilled, creative, and adaptable Senior iPhone/Android Developers/Engineers. This is an opportunity for those with strong object-oriented design and attention to detail and quality to contribute to and learn from a team of experienced peers. Experience in mobile development is not required. We'll give you time to learn. We're looking for pure intellect, not necessarily mobile app development experience.

Who is ArcTouch? ArcTouch is San Francisco's leading Mobile App Development Studio. We make iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry apps for the biggest consumer-focused companies around. ArcTouch has developed apps for Walmart, CBS, HarperCollins Children Books, Foot Locker. . . to name a few. We take our customers' concepts and ideas, turn them into killer designs, then build the highest quality apps possible. See more here:, then visit us on the web at

Our headquarters are in San Francisco near South Park, within walking distance of CalTrain, BART, and the Transbay Terminal. Our founders are ex-Apple, and bring their strong sense of "best of the best" to every project. We offer a competitive compensation package, along with a wealth of benefits that's unusual for our small size. Bring your dog to the office, work from home every Friday, and take advantage of our Giants season tickets.

Every ArcTouch Developer gets:

  • a MacBook Pro and desktop setup
  • an iPad or Android tablet
  • an iPod touch
  • company-paid admission to either Apple's WWDC or Google IO Developer Conference

You will be playing a central role in the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of mobile apps. You will work on small, collaborative teams with seasoned pros. You'll interact with our team of product managers and engineers, as well as working, meeting with, and architecting solutions with our customers and their engineers.

Not Just a Gear in the Machine; Not The Same Job Every Day Our projects are small, and typically have 2-4 people on them. They usually last two months. In a year, you could easily be working on six different projects. One might be a social networking app, or a database front end, or the backend, or even a game. . . it's different all the time. If you like diversity in assignments, this will be your dream job.

Jump into Mobile Development We'll turn you into a mobile app expert. Don't worry if you haven't even made "Hello World" yet. But you do need core skills. What you need to be successful is:

  • Object-oriented design experience, either academic or professional
  • Strong passion for mobile apps. You already have an iPhone or an Android, and you can't wait to show us your favorite apps.
  • Rock solid development skills. You know the difference between multiple inheritance and delegation. You see design patterns before coding. You understand how you'll test before you even begin implementing.
  • You're a software engineer information junkie. You read blogs, manuals, and books, just so you can know not only that something is possible, but that someone else has already solved a problem. You'd rather solve new problems and utilize third party solutions when available.
  • You need to speak, write, and convey ideas with authority. You'll be presenting ideas to customers and business people who aren't necessarily technical, and you need to be convincing.

How to Apply: Please send a cover letter and resume to hr at

ArcTouch is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.
