Please indicate whether you are already an LF photographer or would like to get started in LF photography in near future. You don't need to own LF camera gear to join this group.

1) Advanced LF specific scanning and printing techniques. 2) See various types of cameras. 3) See various solutions of carrying equipment. 4) Discuss what would be a good mix of equipment to travel with, and example results of such trips.

What are your photography subject areas (e.g. landscape, portrait, etc.)?

Landscape, portraits, old ruins, and anything else that catches the eye.

Do you do B&W or color or both types of photography? What film do you use? If you use traditional darkroom, what developers do you use?

Mostly B&W, but lately more color.

Do you use digital techniques (scanning, Photoshop, digial printing, etc.) for producing the prints or you use traditional darkroom or both? What digital printers and papers do you use? What traditional darkroom chemisty and papers do you use?

Traditional darkroom, but transitioning to mixed work flow.

What type of LF camera(s) do you use (e.g. 4x5" Arca Swiss)? It's perfectly okay to join this group even if you don't have an LF camera yet.

Too Many 5x7's: Linhof 5x7 Tech 11 (old), Canham MQC 5x7, Toyo field 5x7; Some 4x5's: Chamonix 4x5, Linhof 4x5 (old); 2x3: Horseman VHR. My Goal: Find one perfect 5x7-4x5, and a light/small 4x5 and sell the rest. Who can advise?

Introduction

To meet fellow Bay Area LF photographers, discuss ideas, exchange solutions to the practical problems, see prints, share learnings, go photograph, and of course have fun.
