We have a special event in store for March. One of DC's lesser known treasures is the International Spy Museum (http://www.spymuseum.org/). The museum "features the largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on public display" and explores "the craft, practice, history, and contemporary role of espionage" from a global perspective. In addition to exhibits revealing untold spy stories from ancient times to the modern age, there's a special exhibit right now called Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains (http://www.spymuseum.org/exhibition-experiences/exquisitely-evil/), that's very exciting (and has at least a tangential and vague relationship to science fiction).

The museum also hosts a 1-hour immersive, interactive experience called Operation Spy (http://www.spymuseum.org/exhibition-experiences/interactive-spy-experiences/operation-spy/), that puts you on a live-action mission with a team of spies, following clues and solving puzzles and employing spycraft. It's a lot of fun!

We've negotiated a special rate of $26.06 to enjoy both Operation Spy and general admission to the museum. Our rate is about a 12% discount on the standard rate. This rate will be good until March 7 at noon on a space-available basis. You must pay online in order to RSVP.

It's essential that everyone arrive by 1:30pm (1:45pm at the absolute latest), in order for us to make our slotted times for Operation Spy. We will have 15-person groups embarking on their missions at 15-minute intervals, so we need to have everyone assembled or you'll forfeit your space. Please budget extra time to make your way to the museum and find parking (http://washingtondc.bestparking.com/). Also, please read the visitor policies (http://www.spymuseum.org/visit/visitor-policies/) prior to the event.

After the visit, we'll be splitting into smaller groups for March's Post-Museum Dinner (https://www.meetup.com/SFFBookClub/events/161694332/) to explore some of the great restaurants nearby. You must RSVP separately for the dinner.
