National Novel Writing Month - Kickoff Meeting

Details
http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/e/9/4/event_63264212.jpegNovember is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/)), an annual creative writing project that challenges you to write 50,000 words of a new novel over the course of the month of November.
Whether you've always been meaning to start a novel, or you've been kicking around an idea that you know would make a great story, or you used to write and haven't had time in ages...this could be a fun way to spark your imagination and unleash your inner bard. Best of all, you can tackle the challenge with friends to support and encourage you.
NaNoWriMo's website also gives you the chance to interact with other writers from across the world, and receive tips and advice from some of your favorite authors.
Even if you don't have the time to fully participate in a 50,000 word project, write-in sessions are a great way to put in a few hours of intensive writing in a group setting. Take on a short story, or just write an opening chapter!
This kickoff meeting will be a great chance to discuss your past experience, current progress or approach, ideas you've had, schedule write-in sessions, and anything else you need to help you succeed. Also, if you're bringing a laptop, Grounded does have power outlets and free wi-fi (the password is 7033416612).
You can keep track of the ongoing discussion board thread here (https://www.meetup.com/bookclub-1137/messages/boards/thread/16603692/). And special thanks to Brandie for bringing up this idea and getting it off the ground!
