Sunday, April 3, 2022: Mount Wilson Trail to Orchard Camp
Rating: Intermediate Plus Trailhead Time: 9:30 A.M.
Description:
This hike is about 7 miles with 1800 feet elevation gain round trip on the famous Mount Wilson trail to Orchard Camp then return the same way. About 1/2 of the trail is shaded. We will meet on front of Lizzie’s Trail Inn. There are restrooms in Mt. Wilson Trail Park near the trailhead.

Meet on front of Lizzie’s Trail Inn (The Richardson House) on the corner of El Mira Monte Ave and Mt. Wilson Trail. Restrooms are available in Mt. Wilson Trail Park by the trailhead.
WHAT TO BRING:
Two liters of water, snacks, lunch, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking boots or shoes with good traction, hiking poles, daypack, long pants and long sleeved shirt or shorts and a T-shirt, depending on weather. Rain gear, jacket and gloves in cool weather. Clothes should be loose fitting, and light-colors are preferable.
FOOTWEAR: Hiking boots or shoes with good traction. Absolutely no sandals or open toed shoes.
