Sunday April 24, 2022 Coldwater Canyon Park–Wilacre Park Loop
RATING: Easy TRAILHEAD TIME: 9:00 A.M.
DESCRIPTION:
This is an easy 3 mile loop hike with 450 ft elevation gain from the TreePeople Coldwater Canyon Park to Wilacre Park Estate with nice views of the San Fernando Valley along with Chaparral covered ridges and wooded canyons surrounded by residential neighborhoods. California black walnut trees arch over much of the wide trail, providing early shade and beauty along the way for all to enjoy. We will meet at the end of the Parking Lot by the water fountain**. The hike should be over by 11 A.M.**
WHAT TO BRING:
one liter of water, snacks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking boots or shoes with good traction, daypack, hiking poles/sticks, shorts and a T-shirt or long pants and long sleeved shirt, depending on weather. Clothes should be loose fitting, and light-colors are preferable
FOOTWEAR: Hiking boots or shoes with good traction. Absolutely no sandals or open toed shoes.
