SHARC is one of the most active hands-on technology organizations in Colorado. We are active in STE(A)M education and our members have mentored numerous FIRST and BEST teams in the Greater Denver Area.
We created and sponsor the Annual "Robotics at the Hangar" with Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Lowry. We co-sponsor the Parker Rover Rally with the Deep Space Event Center and the Town of Parker, Colorado. We work with United Launch Alliance mentoring payload teams for their Annual Intern Rocket Launch in Pueblo.
Our members have participated and medalled in the SparkFun Autonomous Vehicle Competition (we took 1st place, Doping Class, in the 2014 AVC with the first-ever Full Size Vehicle entry). We have also competed in the Front Range Robot Firefighting Competition and other events.
Other activities include build-meetings, competitions, educational programs, and social events centered around science, technology, and engineering. Robot enthusiasts and those interested in learning about technology are welcome and encouraged to join. We are expanding our membership and meet often and the Deep Space Event Center in Parker, Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Lowry (Denver) and other locations.
This is the (rescheduled) general kickoff meeting for the SHARC 2019 ULA Future Heavy Payload build team. We'll be meeting with the students at Smoky Hill High School and discussing the project and planning the build.
RSVP to attend and be sure you get meeting updates.
