What we’re about
We are an affiliate of the American Humanist Association. We are here to be a beacon of reason for those that consider themselves secular, atheist, agnostic, humanist, and/or a free thinker. If you are searching for a place to ask questions, you have found it. If you are searching for an inclusive group that is here to listen and not to judge, you have found it. We stand on the side of equality, not division. The side of science, not pseudoscience. You do not have to agree with everything everyone says, but we do expect kindness, compassion, and civility from all that participate in our events.
Please join us. We would love to meet you!
**Not sure whether or not you're a Humanist? "Humanism is a nontheistic worldview with ethical values informed by scientific knowledge and driven by a desire to meet the needs of people in the here and now. At the foundation of those values is an affirmation of the dignity of every human being." - The American Humanist Association

Book Club: A Short Stay in Hell
Nicole's House, 101 Leslie Ave, West Lafayette, IN, USOk, the next Book Club suggestion comes from Katie: A Short Stay in Hell!
Synopsis: "An ordinary family man, geologist, and Mormon, Soren Johansson has always believed he’ll be reunited with his loved ones after death in an eternal hereafter. Then, he dies. Soren wakes to find himself cast by a God he has never heard of into a Hell whose dimensions he can barely grasp: a vast library he can only escape from by finding the book that contains the story of his life.
In this haunting existential novella, author, philosopher, and ecologist Steven L. Peck explores a subversive vision of eternity, taking the reader on a journey through the afterlife of a world where everything everyone believed in turns out to be wrong."
