We are an affiliate of the American Humanist Association. We are here to be a beacon of reason for those that consider themselves secular, atheist, agnostic, humanist, and/or a free thinker. If you are searching for a place to ask questions, you have found it. If you are searching for an inclusive group that is here to listen and not to judge, you have found it. We stand on the side of equality, not division. You do not have to agree with everything everyone says, but we do expect kindness, compassion, and civility from all that participate in our events.
These stories will be appropriate for Halloween, so if the kids want to get in costume that will be great. Keep in mind they will be sitting for a good portion of the event.
Stories will be only slightly scary so everyone should be able to enjoy.
Again, no charge but you can book tickets on their website - maybe it gives them an idea on how many to expect? That said I don’t think you have to get tickets in advance.
**Message me for the actual location. Samhain, All Hallow's Eve, Halloween...however you celebrate join fellow secular people in this celebration of all that is dark and creepy. Scarey wooded trails, bonfire, snacks, and drinks. Dress up in your best disquise. We will be celebrating the coming of the dark times.
**Please note the date change! I forgot Steve's Halloween Party was the 26th!! -Nicole**
I received a text from Nicole wanting to have a coffee and conversation about the impeachment proceedings, so here we are having a coffee and conversation about the impeachment proceedings. This is in no way a ploy for me to start a band called, "High Crimes & Misdemeanors".
The Brawlin' Dolls is Lafayette's own Roller Derby team! If you've never heard of roller derby, here's a link to a news story of one of their bouts... https://youtu.be/qvxRC229HBc
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and kids 10 and under are free.
