The Ocean Group of the Sierra Club is member of the New Jersey Chapter of the nationwide Sierra Club and is a diverse group of individuals who are devoted to protection of environmentally sensitive areas on a local, regional, and global scale, and to supporting political initiatives for sound environmental policy. We hold regular, open to the public, meetings on environmental issues as well as frequent outings to many of our most beautiful outdoor locations.

The Aquarium brings sea-bottom views to nurture our appreciation of the beauties of our vast yet vulnerable oceans. Their Insurance Company requires “Members Only” to ride on the bus. A waiver must be signed prior to embarking on the bus. (It can be completed on-line, and I will bring a few copies for friends who do not have internet access) You’re welcome to bring your breakfast or lunch to eat on the bus. We expect to enjoy the Aquarium for about 4-5 hours and then stop for a late lunch on the way back. We will meet at the Kohl’s Shopping Plaza on Route 37 in Tom’s River (near the Parkway). Park in the Foodtown parking area. (Foodtown is now closed) The entrance off Highland Parkway (East of Parkway and South of Route 37) is the most convenient. See image below or attachment for map.
