2024 Starry Nights @ the Plaza
Food, Fun Planned Every Friday This Summer at Centennial Plaza

Starry Nights @the Plaza is Taylorsville City's free summer concert series, featuring something to do every Friday at Centennial Plaza in front of City Hall, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd. The 2024 schedule kicks off May 10 and runs through Sept. 13.

In addition to free music and other events, the food trucks will be at Centennial Plaza each Friday from 5 to 8:30 p.md Coming soon, you can find the lineup of the food trucks on each scheduled evening here. (Scroll to the bottom of that page for Taylorsville League Night listings).

Boogie back in time at the 70s Prom, a vibrant tribute to the days of disco! Slip into your grooviest bell-bottoms and shine your platform shoes for a night under the dazzling lights at the Library’s Viridian Event Center.

Catch disco fever as the DJ spins classic hits that defined a generation. Capture the moment posing in a retro photo booth, sip on themed mocktails, and dance the night away under the sparkling disco balls. Whether its sequins, polyester, or those fabulous bell sleeves and jumpsuits, we want to see your best interpretation of the decade’s most iconic styles in our costume contest. Come and follow the call of the disco ball!

Our Family Concerts are held the 2nd Monday from 7:00
pm to 8:00 pm. These concerts are free
for all ages and are held in our Dining
Room. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

FAMILY NIGHT CONCERTS
The Family Night Concert Series are free concerts held the 2nd Monday of every month, June through September, at the Murray City Senior Recreation Center. Concert runs 7:00 PM - 7:50 PM and are typically held in the outdoor plaza. Concerts may be moved indoors if weather is not behaving. Even though concerts are held at the Senior Center, they are open to public and for all ages (you do not need to be a member of the Center). A full schedule is provided by early Spring each year for upcoming series.

Murray City Senior Recreation Center: The Center is located at 10 E 6150 S (next to Grant Park). Parking is available both on the north and east side of the facility. The outdoor plaza is located in the middle of the facility and can be accessed by entering the main entrance of the Center or from walking around the south side (back of building). Restrooms and water are available indoors. If you have any general questions about the Senior Recreation Center, you can reach them at (801) 263-2635.

Living Traditions Festival
The Living Traditions Festival supports the diverse artistic traditions and perspectives through the presentation of both historical and contemporary customs, facilitating thoughtful conversations about the unique qualities of various cultures, and the similarities of the human experience, while creating bonds among community members. By preserving the cultural traditions of their community, Living Traditions artists make a great contribution to our sense of place and help demonstrate Salt Lake City as a diverse and vibrant place to live. Admission is free for all event attendees, which brings together over 90 cultures that have made Salt Lake City their home.

The annual Living Traditions Festival will be held May 17, 18, and 19, 2024 at Washington and Library Square and features:
