KAYAKING: DINNER ON THE DUNES – Pacific Wildlife Care Benefit Series – 2013 Event Description
Come help us support Pacific Wildlife Care, a local non-profit devoted to the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife in San Luis Obispo County. This special event combines a presentation of some of Pacific Wildlife Care’s Animal Ambassadors with a guided kayak tour of Morro Bay and is capped off with a special California beach style grilled dinner, served on the sand dunes.
The Morro Bay area is home to over 200 species of birds, as well as several species of marine mammals, including sea otters, harbor seals and sea lions. After a live wildlife presentation by the staff of Pacific Wildlife Care we’ll head out on the water in kayaks to visit some wildlife hot spots on Morro Bay. After enjoying all this wildlife, we’ll beach our kayaks on the outer sand dunes for a short optional walk followed by a delicious grilled dinner prepared by the guide staff from Central Coast Outdoors. As the sun slowly slips behind the dunes, you’ll climb back in your kayak for a magical paddle in the deepening dusk back to the docks - an experience you will not soon forget!
