Sure, the title may seem….plain…. but the simple truth is that the basics matter. The fundamentals matter. And here at SOPHA we rock the fundamentals. We make this stuff interesting. And here at SOPHA you don’t learn by watching a video or reading the manual, you learn in our classroom with your camera in your hands.
Our Basic Photography class is a easy-to-schedule three session class, meeting one session per week for three weeks. Our class runs for 630pm to 9pm each week so you aren’t out too late too!
In our program, taught by full time photographers, will help you get the most out of your images, your camera, and your abilities.
Join us as we navigate our way through your cameras picture-taking controls item by item. We will explore how the camera controls can help you make the best of any photo-taking situation, covering the basics of exposure, exposure modes, and focusing. As the nights progress we review as we go, but add in important information such as image capture and image review controls, being sure to cover file numbering, JPG. Vs. RAW, file sizes, compression, and more! We also cover all the nitty-gritty details in understanding autofocus in both DSLR and mirrorless systems, and discuss lenses. And we make full use of SOPHA’s extensive rental lenses to let you see what a range of lenses can do for your images!
