Providing a rare peek into unspoiled upland and floodplain habitats along the Caloosahatchee River, Caloosahatchee Regional Park evokes the wilderness in which the Calusa lived. Still under the management of Lee County Parks & Recreation to this day, it protects some of the last wild uplands along the length of the river while offering an extensive trail system for exploring the subtropical habitats.
Parking is $1 per hour or $5 for the day.
Let's find a new place to Hike each month.
Ding Darling Refuge in Sanibel.
Please use common sense always to determine if you have the physical ability to do the hike. You can research by looking up the hiking location online before you commit. Look forward to getting out and meeting you!
