October's Monthly Meeting—The Theme is "Travel"

Okay, it’s that time of the year to get together your one, two, or maybe three BEST photos from your travel this summer (or in the last year). Yes, the competition theme is TRAVEL. The primary criterion here is that the image(s) must give the viewer a sense of place outside of Atlanta. This might be someplace out in the country [near Atlanta] or some far away land. Take us there!

Our presenter and judge will be a photographer, physician, author, and inventor. He is Mark Alberhasky. Mark's photographic experience spans over 40 years. His images have won awards internationally and placements are as diverse as commercial ads, magazine covers, textbooks, action sports publications, and corporate installations. Recent accolades include selection for the 2012 Nikon World calendar and cover/featured photographer in the Nov 2011 issue of Photoshop User magazine. Mark's love for travel and unique eye combine to produce stunning graphic photos with bold rich color. Always ready to pack his camera bag, travels to the four corners of the compass provide ever-changing backdrops in which he finds inspiration. While competition entries at these monthly meetings are restricted to currently paid-up members, we ALWAYS welcome visitors interested in photography to attend. The Learnshops (Fourth Tuesday of each month) are intended for members, but again, we welcome visitors. If you attend regularly, we ask that you help support the club (which pays for the rental of the facilities, supplies, and equipment) by becoming a member!
