Details
The next meetup is March 21st. This month we will be trying out a new location downtown! T-REX will be hosting the event in their co-working space.
Jack Balbes will be our main speaker this month and he'll be teaching us some practical techniques for managing difficult unit tests.
Paul Spears will also be presenting another round of Angular FAQs.
As always, we will be serving pizza and drinks.
Embracing Laziness in Testing:
When writing tests for Angular applications, it is easy to get caught up in spectacle and ceremony, and end up doing much more work than is needed. Larry Wall, the original author of Perl, said that laziness was one of the the three virtues of a great programmer. In this talk, Jack will take a step back and explore how some strategic laziness can reduce the complexity and scale of testing Angular apps, while still providing thorough and useful results.
Jack Balbes is a Tech Lead at Oasis Digital and an Angular Boot Camp instructor. He has worked in the software development field for the past five years, focusing on building single page web apps with Angular and other front end frameworks.
