"Climate Psychology" with Margaret Klein

"The Climate Psychologist", Margaret Klein from Brooklyn, NY, will join us via Skype to talk about the psychology behind climate "denialism" and "alarmism". She'll also provide insights for all us on how we can recognize, tolerate, talk about, and think through the deeply frightening, painful truths of climate change.

Maybe she'll even give us some much needed Therapy.

Margaret will have a prepared 45 minute talk to be followed by audience Q&A.

From the "Author" page of Margaret's blog:

"As a therapist, I help people recognize and think through the tough realities of their lives. I provide a safe and supportive space where people can address issues that they may find too overwhelming or painful to face on their own. There are always emotional blocks to thinking clearly about difficult situations, and I help people identify and remove those blocks. Talk therapy is extremely powerful. Once someone is able to put his problems into words and to tolerate the painful feelings that those problems bring up, then he is empowered to take action implement solutions."

I hold a BA from Harvard in Social Anthropology, and a MA from Adelphi University in Psychology. I am in the final stages of earning my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University.

I am a human attempting to live in climate truth and avert the worst catastrophe humanity has ever faced. I hope you join me."

Excellent insights into our minds by Margaret. I'm also very excited about "The Human Climate Pledge" and am looking forward to following it's progress.

I have a scheduled engagement earlier in the day with the wife, but I will try to steal away or bring her with.
