Heads up Kaggle ( a start-up which has used predictive modelling competitions to solve problems for NASA, Wikipedia, Ford and Allstate, improving the state of the art across a range of fields, including mapping dark matter and HIV research. Kaggle has received considerable media attention since it first launched in April 2010 and received $11 million in Series A funding from a round led by Khosla Ventures and Index Ventures. Jeremy first became involved with Kaggle as a highly successful competitor, winning competitions involving tourism forecasting and predicting the success of grant applications. How to find it: TechXploration takes place at PayPal HQ in the Town Hall building, which is facing North First, after Karina and before Charcot. When you pull in, park anywhere and look for the building with "Town Hall" on the flag and over the doors.
