What we're about

Silicon Valley Perl (SVPerl) is for people interested in the Perl programming language in the Silicon Valley area - engineers and coders, or other users. A previous Perl Mongers group existed in the area until 2005. SVPerl re-established the Perl group in 2010. See SVPerl's web site at http://svperl.org/ (http://svperl.org/)

New Perl module Container::Buildah

Location visible to members

Ian Kluft will present an overview of his new Perl module Container::Buildah which is a wrapper around the open source container building tool called "Buildah". This adds a level of Perl-powered scriptability for making OCI-compatible containers (which can be run by Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, etc). The Buildah and Podman container tools originated at Red Hat and are available on most Linux distributions. Container::Buildah is an independent wrapper around Buildah.
