Interactive Talk - 'Are Design Frameworks Like “Material Design” a Good Idea?'

Details
Interactive Talk from Adam Beizsley Pycroft and Indu Kaila; Hosted by EMO Unlimited (http://www.emo.uk.com/).
From Google’s “Material” design language to Apple’s iOS human interface guidelines, more than ever, designers have a growing range of design frameworks at their disposal. The question is, should we use them? Are we sacrificing distinctiveness or reducing the effort users have to put in to learning our websites and apps?
During this interactive talk, Adam Beizsley Pycroft and Indu Kaila will work with you to explore the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. We’ll also take a closer look at Google’s “Material” framework as Android has the largest market share of any mobile platform and it’s likely to cross your path in the near future. Finally, you’ll have the chance to team up with some of your fellow SWUXers to create and present your own design framework.
