Are you polyamorous, or just curious, interested, or checking things out?

We're poly. We are happy to support people who are honestly curious, interested, or already in poly relationships so that we can begin to build a local community... and if some new friends find a more intimate connection with us, and actually become part of our family, that would be a great bonus!

Have you ever been in a polyamorous relationship?

We have had an open marriage for 10 years, and I was an early proponent of polyamory at an Ivy League college, back in the early 1970's Counterculture days. We were in a relationship with another poly couple when we lived in Oregon, but we moved apart for work reasons, and that is now a long-distance friendship. Our three adult children are, respectively, definitely poly, on-and-off-sometimes-poly-and-sometimes-not, and just sort of blase about any sort of relationship. We don't have any preconceptions about only wanting to meet single people or only couples... we each follow our own interests and inclinations, we are considerate of one another, and we communicate, and sometimes we incline the same direction.

Introduction

My wife and I like to be with other people who find it natural to feel affection for more than one person, and enjoy having a family that includes several adults. We think love is good, while sexual possessiveness is both silly and harmful.
