Now in 31st season the afternoon concert series is a weekly opportunity for the Princeton community to enjoy performances at the Princeton University Chapel by local national and international organist offered each Thursday while classes are in session. These half hour concert showcase the flexibility of the magnificent Skinner Manor, Chapel organ. Each visiting organist, rehearses, and performs, bringing forth a different voice and character from New York.
Additionally, several times each semester the concert is broadcast live as it happens on the classical music radio station WWFM 89.1 and available to the world at www.wwfm.org concert occur most Thursdays 1230 to 1 PM.
The Mnser-Skinner Organ the centerpiece of every performance uses the entirety of the nave as it’s sounding board. It was completely renovated in 1991 by NP Mander, LTD of England, creating a magnificent instrument in the English cathedral style that is especially well suited to the grandeur of the Princeton University Chapel featuring 109 stops and 8000 pipes.
