What is Sahaja Yoga Meditation?

Sahaja Yoga Meditation is meant for everyone who desires to find his or her true self, which is full of peace, joy of life and love for others.

Who developed Sahaja Yoga Meditation?

Sahaja Yoga Meditation was developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

A quote from Shri Mataji:

"The human mind is always bombarded with thoughts. It builds the ego and it reacts with it. Those who are conditioned are frightened people. These thoughts come from the past or from the future, but reality is in the present where we achieve peace. The mind creates all the problems for an individual or for the collective. One has to go beyond the mind into thoughtless awareness, where there is peace."

Everyone can.

How much will Sahaja Yoga Meditation cost me?

It's always free of charge.

Is Sahaja Yoga Meditation difficult to practice? What are its effects?

Just sitting quietly, doing nothing, stilling the mind and calming the body. There are immediate benefits in stress relief and a feeling of peace and contentment. Physically, it helps in prevention and cure of illnesses which are otherwise difficult to cure. Mentally and emotionally it helps one to attain balance, and spiritually one can attain the highest level of enlightenment. Practitioners of Sahaja Yoga have easily given up smoking, drinking and drugs, and lead a very normal, balanced and moral life.

How is Sahaja Yoga Meditation different from other types of meditations?

It's different from the other types of meditation, because it begins with Enlightenment (Self-realization) instead of this being an unobtainable dream of a distant goal.

What happens after this class?

These recurring classes are meant to come together and meditate and learn little by little, so please plan to join them every week for growth in your meditative state and practice. You are equipped with knowledge to start practicing from day 1. As you join us for subsequent classes you are taken forward in meditation practice. In case you are unable to join a class, don't worry and rejoin any time and you can always start afresh.
