This group is for people who want to enjoy the sailing lifestyle, while meeting new people. So come join us. We are looking for experienced captains/sailboat owners, crew members of all skill levels, and able bodied fun friendly people.Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. No flip flops or sandals, this type of footwear can catch on the rigging. White bottom or no mark shoes, like topsiders, are great for keeping the boat nice and clean. Sun block and a hat is also recommended. Be sure to bring a personal water bottle and snack if desired. If you are going to bring a camera make sure it is pretty durable. If it is an expensive camera you may want to get a water proof bag. If you want to bring more refreshments, be sure to check with the boat captain beforehand. Most foods are not a problem, but some may not be conducive to a sea environment. Swells and waves can cause things to spill unexpectedly, and create a mess on the boat. This is not a great way to endear yourself to the captain. If you are prone to sea sickness preparing ahead of time is the best strategy. Most captains will only be able to provide minimal accommodations for such an event. Bring an open mind, enthusiasm, spirit of adventure, a positive attitude, and be ready to have some fun.
