We have many social activities. Picnics, Concerts, Plays, Theaters, Museums, Dances, Tours and Casual Spontaneous Outings. Our members and guests join together for dinners and happy hours. These are listed on the Event Calendar and announced at our meetings. Members pay a nominal fee for activities, guests are welcomed.Once a year we have more formal events: Commodore’s Ball, our Skippers dinner and a Semi-formal Christmas Party. The Blessing of the Fleet at Mariner’s Church in the Spring is always a great event.
During the boating season our members crew or ride on our Skipper's boats (sail and power). You can choose to sail or drive to rendezvous at various local yacht/boat clubs and marinas. Sailing Singles also has day and moonlight sails. These are open to any single Club members. You do not need to own a boat to join.
Sailing Singles was founded in 1980 to provide single adults (usually in our 40's and up, but all ages are welcome) with educational activities to develop sailing skills, water safety, and to sponsor social activities for our membership. We are a not-for-profit organization that helps single boat owners find interested single crew members to sail with them in an informal social setting.
SAILING SINGLES WEBSITE (http://www.sailingsinglesclub.com/) provides up-to-date information on current activities. THE ANCHOR LINE, Sailing Singles monthly newsletter, contains information on current and future activities.
We have a monthly informational and social meeting held on the Third Thursday open at 7:00 p.m. Come at 6:00 PM to meet our fun-loving people for dinner.
