• What we'll do
Adam Mitz will lead this discussion:
DDS is a publish/subscribe middleware for real-time systems. We've recently discussed it in the context of ROS (since ROS 2 is built on DDS), however DDS itself is used in many domains to connect applications using the pub/sub model. In this talk we'll examine one application in detail and explore how it uses DDS's Quality of Service (QoS) policies to address several non-functional requirements. We'll also cover the trade-offs involved in different design choices involving QoS and other DDS features.
