In this talk we will cover the basics of how to make your Kafka platform data center fault tolerant Options for how you accomplish surviving a datacenter failure, trade offs, and common pitfalls. The discussion will be presented from the platform side as well as what experience the Kafka clients will have with each option.

Explore building a RESTful driven application using Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams as its database. We will walk through building an application where all of the business logic decision is in a set of Kafka Stream Topologies. Learn about Kafka Stream concepts of joins, aggregates, rekeying, and more.
