### Feel good tunes of summer. Everyone remembers those summertime hits that connect us to the parties, the warm weather, the vacations, and just being in that sunny vibe state of mind.
### And yes....that may include some horns as well to make the party just right.
June 5 RSVP deadline unless full before that date.
For Soundhaus.live, click link below. New users to this session platform, a walk-through video is provided at time of sign-up. It is recommended you watch this for reference. This is the way to review and submit your preference of song parts. Note, this platform is in beta so it is not a finished "brand experience" yet or intended to be without first user glitches.

When you sign-up on soundhaus, submit your songs in rank preference order. Also, submit at least 2 songs more than your max song load #. If you set your max # of songs you want to play at 4 for the session, then submit 6 total songs minimum as this helps the system ensure you high probability for getting more of what interests you versus being assigned a random song. The more players we have, the fewer songs each can play, but the goal is always 3 minimum unless otherwise stated by you.
Multi-instrumentalists, for now, select each individual part and if wanting to both sing and play, put those selections next to each other. If not, then simply put each selection in rank order to your preference.
All that sing harmony....be sure to include those parts in your choices, even if further down your list. They don't have to be your top picks in order to get them unless it's a higher priority for you, but we want to cover those key parts as well.
If you RSVP and are assigned to a song(s), you are expected to show up by 6:15PM (6:00PM recommended) and have your parts learned/practiced ahead of time out of respect for others on your songs doing the same. No group rehearsal. Consider this like a "gig" and not a traditional "jam". Your attendance does impact others...this is a fun, low-key event, but an "event".
If you need to cancel, provide a 72-hour notice, minimum, so I can re-assign your parts to others attending. Last minute or "of day" backouts are not appreciated so please think twice as it can result in removal from the group (unanticipated circumstances withstanding).
Once an instrument group is maxed with skilled players, no more in that group will be accepted but you are put on a wait-list.
No novice or amateur-level players please given the "no rehearsal" nature of the event but you are always welcome to come and see if your skill level matches up. I encourage broad participation but group experience takes priority. Band experience a plus.
So how does this jam session work and why is it different? Players are assigned parts in the songs from the selection list and given 10-14 days to prep their part. No group rehearsal. No need to organize gear, the other players to play with, the space. Just prep to the part(s) as close to the original recording, show up to the event space, go up and play when your songs are called. Magic happens.
All fun. No stress. That is the event mantra. Otherwise, what's the point.
Here are videos of past events. And remember, it's not about playing these perfect, but you would be surprised how close many of these get.

Event Fee
The $10 session fee, through 2024, can be submitted by either Venmo or PayPal on the Soundhaus platform. It will not be asked here on MeetUp due to their increased fee structure.
Any questions, just let me know, but I am looking forward to seeing everybody for this fun music night.
