What we're about

Ever feel that there are many books you ought to have read but haven't? Let's tackle them together.

This is a group for people interested in reading classic literature and enriching their experience through conversation. We'll dust off Dostoevsky, Austen, and Melville, as well as others. Whether you haven't picked up a book since school or hold a literature degree, you are welcome and encouraged to join.

September Book Discussion: Ethan Frome, Edith Wharton

Merriam Park Library

For September, we're reading Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. It's relatively short, so feel free to take a chance if you're not familiar with the book. We'll meet at Merriam Park library in Saint Paul at 1:30 pm in Meeting Room B in the lower level of the library. For public transit users: Merriam Park library is a few blocks away from the Metro Green Line train at Fairview & University (Note: there is a steep hill if you walk along Fairview). It's also directly on the Metro 21 bus line. Bring questions and notes. Please send any ideas you might have before the 22nd. No food in the meeting room, so please plan to eat beforehand. I look forward to meeting and conversing with you all! Happy reading.
