The startup idea: Several of us worked for a year, a while ago, on a consumer website software tool. We want to build a tool that recommends or discovers new content, and work with media websites .... or highly loyal communities that care what their peers are doing (alumni, corporate internal or external websites, nonprofit or sports loyalists, education and school sites, arts and play sites, etc). Recommending content and information is a crowded but struggling niche. The giant social sites have a take on all this, but so do Amazon and other etailers, and there are many pureplay software companies that serve many customers with their tools (our goal too).
(just using this second part to finish up) This means that there is surely a customer need, or there wouldn't be so many players, and that there are many diverse approaches still (many players again). And this is a strong sign that "differentiating" our product is a big deal (finding a strong way to be different, and being able to stay stronger in some parts of this, so not get taken over by rivals). Finding the right markets, learning them, and inventing the right products is the heart of the work that I and my former team have done.

www.InnaTimes.com is my startup page. I moved to Silicon V in late 2013 to work on this. I'm doing it fulltime now, with one cofounder, and we're seeking other cofounders + an architect, funders, and senior advisors and board members, and interns.
