What we're about

Where the real witches are... as seen on several Utah News stations --

Are you a good witch or are you a bad witch? No wait, this isn't the Wizard of Oz. Don't be silly and don't be fooled by those other sites. You've just stumbled across the best organized and most attended Witches Meet-up group in Utah. From public Sabbat events to sponsoring Pagan Pride Day, the Salt Lake Witches Meet-up is your tool to meeting, networking and maybe even befriending the real Witches of Utah.

New to the Pagan scene? Then come join us at "New to the Pagan Community" held each month. Or just jump in the deep end and come join in the fun at our weekly event "Witches Brew", a free coffee event held every Friday Night at Crone's Hollow. Meet a truly varied group of people including Witches, Stregha, Hedgewalkers, Asatru, Toteg, Wiccans, Druids, Goddess Worshipers, Kemetics, Thelemites and others who walk the Old Paths, including solitary practitioners and a coven or three, or four...

Everyone is welcome here. Please keep in mind that this is a family friendly group, children are welcome and present at most events unless otherwise stated.

We do ask that if you bring a camera to our events that you get permission from those attending prior to posting photos anywhere if the people in the photos are identifiable.

A important note to our valued members regarding RSVPs: We appreciate your interest in the many events offered by the Salt Lake Witches Meetup. We also appreciate you taking the time to RSVP for the events. PLEASE NOTE that an RSVP on the Meetup is only a gauge of interest and does not guarantee you a seat at any particular event, especially those with limited attendance. We encourage you to contact the event organizer to verify your RSVP (and make pre-payment) which is the only way to guarantee your reservation. On events that have a cost (for example The Witches High Tea and many classes and other events at Crone's Hollow) an RSVP on the meetup does not reserve a place for you. When in doubt, contact the event organizer or call Crone's Hollow at 801-906-0470!

The Seance at Crone's Hollow

Needs a location

Late in the evening the Witches gather. Cloaked and silent they wait for the Seance; a session where communication with the ancestral spirits is requested. Do you have a question for your ancestors? Are you waiting for messages or do you have questions for those who have passed?

Please join us in Roy's Room as we join the cloaked seers of Crone's Hollow acting as mediums for messages from the Dead.

$12 per person, receive a $2 discount for paying cash.

You must check in at the front counter of the store to be admitted. Please arrive early as seating is limited and latecomers cannot be seated once the seance begins.

The Seance at Crone's Hollow is generally held on the last Friday of every month with the exception of January, July, November and December.

Please check the Salt Lake County Health Department website or the Crone's Hollow Facebook page for information on whether masks are required for each monthly session.

Shamanic Journey

Introduction to Shaman to Journey Work
The Shamanic Journey uses focused intention and drumming to induce trance. Shamanic Journey is a way of finding answers, information, healing, wisdom and knowledge as well as guidance or help with one’s personal life. Prior to the journey participants set an intention, and during the journey students meet with spirits who may be regarded as ancestors, elders, gods, goddesses, deceased shamans, spirit guides, power animals and angels. These beings are seen as beings with great wisdom, power and ones who are willing to help with guiding the living.
A shamanic world is made up of three parts, the lower world, the upper world and the middle world. None of these worlds are more superior to the other. They are equally important.
You will need:
⦁ Comfortable clothing (Journey work is typically done lying down in a dark room).
⦁ A scarf to cover your eyes.
⦁ A journey to document your experience.
⦁ An open heart.

Class begins promptly at 7 pm

Tarot Class; Questions & Spreads

Location visible to members

“Tarot Questions and Spreads. The Context and Relationships.”

Why is the question so important and how can multiple spreads lead to deeper meanings? What stories can be discerned by examining the relationship between the cards? How do card meanings change depending on their positions within a spread?

In this two hour class we will discuss these questions and get hands-on practice reading different spreads. You will get a deeper understanding of how to read the spread as both a collection of individual cards and a cohesive story with a theme.

Sunday, May 29, 3-5 pm. Your seat is reserved with a payment of $25 at Crone’s Hollow. CASH ONLY! Seating is limited to 10 people!

Candle Magic Workshop

Needs a location

If you’re brand new to magic, you’ve probably heard about Candle Magic. If you’ve been practicing for a while, you’ve probably heard about Candle Magic. It’s ubiquitous. It’s everywhere. Why?

Because it works!

Because it’s simple!

Because everyone can do it!

Even you.

In this Workshop, you’ll learn the six steps necessary to create effective spell candles and how to put those steps into practice for manifesting your desires, healing yourself and others, protecting yourself from harmful intent like curses (and getting rid of them if you’ve already been cursed), and more.

My name is Durriken Homewood, and I’ll be your guide during this workshop. I’m a life-long practitioner of Candle Magic (well, I might have missed the memo when I was a toddler), a Witch with more than two decades of SpellCraft under my belt, and a founding Clan Member of the Mound Tradition. And, if you’re willing, I’d like to share this powerful, easy and effective form of magic with you.

But there’s a catch! (There always is, isn’t there?)

If you already know all there is to know about magic, I can’t teach you. This workshop is for people who don’t know it all. For people who want to learn and make positive changes in their lives. For people looking to add to their magical practices. For people just starting out (baby witches) and for long time practitioners looking for more.

Now, becoming adept at Candle Magic takes more than a single workshop. To do something right, you have to practice it. But you have to start somewhere, and that’s what this workshop is about: showing you how to start. You still have to do the work yourself. To make things easier, I’ll bring the candle, the supplies and the theory. You bring the desire, and the willingness to learn (a notepad and pen would probably be helpful too).

The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Choose the time that works best for you: Noon-2pm, or 4-6pm. Class size is limited to 15 participants per time block. Prepayment of $30 is required—Cash Only. Sign up by visiting Crone’s Hollow (3834 S Main Street, SLC UT).
