Today is the first day of the of the Hebrew month of Elul.

Today in History: Approximately 3300 years ago – a Spiritual Man Named Moshe, in English Moses, went to talk to the Most High God – Named HaShem – The Name. He was going to ask forgiveness for the adultery of the Children of Israel. This was the third time he went up to talk to HaShem.

HaShem did forgive the Children of Israel conditionally.

What are the conditions?

That during the Hebrew month of Elul – Anagram for I am to my beloved as my beloved is to me – each individual Child of Israel will do Teshuvah – Repent for the actions that they did that separate the physical world from the spiritual worlds.

Do you know how to repent? How to do Teshuvah?

Over the next 4 weeks we will send weekly notes with specific instructions on how to do the action of Teshuvah.

Kabbalah teaches that the tool of Teshuvah was created prior to the Creation of our physical world. This means that there is no action, that someone does. that is beyond the reach of forgiveness through the use of the tool of Teshuvah.

Kabbalah also teaches that a Righteous action requires 4 “right” components. The 4 components are “right action”, done at the “right time”, performed in the “right location”, along with the “right Kavenah” - Intentions and Consciousness.

This first note is about how to begin YOUR Teshuvah – Rependance.

Step 1: Determine one major action that you feel was done incorrectly during this year. By the way the year runs from September 2017 until now.

To expand about this action: Please consider an action that caused pain to another or group mof others. It may have been an action that hurt yourself. It may have hurt people through inaction or by action.

It is helpful to make a list of all people who are impacted by the action. The Kabbalist would have on his or her list people that we would not normally consider. An example would be the people impacted by natural disasters thousands of miles across the world. This is because the Kabbalists knows that human activity impacts natural events including disasters.

I teach you about the Kabbalist in order to motivate you to expand your thinking about who you impacted with your actions.

The best item would be something that you prefer, after reflection, would not have been done and also you would want to know that all hurt and damage would be undone completely. With Teshuvah one can transform many negative actions into a positive action.

Step 2 – Confess your action to HaShem. More to be discussed in future notes.

Step 3 – Make Amends to all involved including asking forgiveness to each person individually.

Step 4 – Special and individual meditations that will be explained in additional notes.

Part of the Teshuvah process relates to Tzedaka – Charity and Tithing – Terumah. It is a normal Spiritual practice to make charitable and tithing donations prior to the New Year. The Jewish new year is the period September 9th to the end of September. Below is a short discussuin regarding the recommended Tzedakah – Charity actions by the Kabbalah.

It is better to donate anonymously.

It is better to support teachers of Kabbalah; as they will use the proceeds to spread the Light and Wisdom of the Kabbalah.

It is better to make more frequent smaller donations than larger less frequent donations.

The conscious intention of the giver is credited in Shamayim – Heaven even if the money is not sent until later in the year.

It is essential to find “a truly poor person” to make your donations to. A truly poor person is someone who does not care if you give him a donation or not since he or she knows HaShem will provide the needs. He or she does not know if you have been directed to provide for them or not. Conversely they do not know if HaShem is sending them to you to provide you the opportunity to receive the Mercy of HaShem by reaching in your pocket and having the negative decree of cic events coming to you in the new year being toren up.

In future notes we will explain how to do all of these in one action.

There are three additional recommendations.

  • Register to receive our weekly E-mail for additional information about Spiritual Recommmendations to do right actions – right times – right locations – right Kavenah – Intentions. Here is a link to this weeks email so you can evaluate for myourself the merits of spiritual growth.
