Laura Roberts is the author of two books on the subject of writing challenges (A Cheater's Guide to NaNoWriMo (http://www.amazon.com/Cheaters-Guide-NaNoWriMo-Winning-November-ebook/dp/B015D7GF0I/) and Confessions of a 3-Day Novelist (http://www.amazon.com/Confessions-3-Day-Novelist-Write-Entire-ebook/dp/B00PKYZPC4/)), and has written many of her books by participating in different types of writing contests and challenges. She has won both NaNoWriMo and the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge five times, participated in the 3 Day Novel Contest three times, and loves writing-related dares. In her talk, she'll discuss what makes a good challenge, fitting writing challenges into a busy schedule, and how to make challenges work for you.
8:00 to 8:30 PM: Mastermind Spotlight. We will draw names for the opportunity to receive a 5-minute spotlight slot to present a challenge you are having and receive feedback from the group. (NFAA Authority members receive priority placement in the spotlight.)
*Door Prizes: Laura will be giving away digital copies of her writing challenge books to all attendees.
Please be sure to tell a friend who might also enjoy our group!
Overview: We meet on the third Friday each month to discuss the business side of writing, publishing and promoting nonfiction books. First-time visitors to an NFAA local chapter are not required to be members of the Nonfiction Authors Association, however, if you'd return to a second meeting and beyond (and we hope you do!), we ask that you join us online (free memberships are available): http://NonfictionAuthorsAssociation.com .
We welcome experienced and aspiring writers of nonfiction. Attendees are also invited to participate in our unique Mastermind Group Spotlight where three to five participants can present an issue, question or challenge related to the publishing journey and receive feedback from the rest of the group. This is a wildly popular feature of our meetings!
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a leads group. If your primary objective is to sell something, this isn't the group for you. We are here to support each other on the publishing journey.
