Description: Functional programming is all about looking at a problem a little differently than we're used to. In this talk, we'll look at functions as first-class values, higher-order functions, recursion, function composition an more with examples in JavaScript

After the talk, we'll work on a few "beginner" or "intro" level katas to apply some of the things we've just learned. If you're new to FP, this is a great chance to come and see what all the hype is about. If you're an experienced FPer, this would be a perfect opportunity to pass on what you've learned.
