We are reading the "book within the book" and will build an end to end model for detecting malignant lung tumors in CT scans. This week we use a U-Net to segment the images, identifying suspected nodules.
Everyone is welcome to participate, whether new to data science, or experienced with Keras & TensorFlow and looking to practice building PyTorch deep neural network models. Feel free to join the weekly conversation, even if you didn't do the reading.

Agenda
- 12:00 - 12:15 pm -- Arrival and socializing (breakouts)
- 12:15 - 2:00 pm -- Discuss chapter 13: Using segmentation to find suspected nodules
- Time permitting -- Additional breakout discussions
This is a good book to learn about PyTorch neural networks. Even better, a PDF of the book is currently available for free download via the above pytorch.org address. Links to chapter notes and videos of prior meetups are available on the SDML github repo https://github.com/SanDiegoMachineLearning/bookclub

Location
This will be an online meetup until further notice.
