My name is John Watts of Watts Digital Imaging in San Diego, and I'm a "post-processing" specialist for photographers - - you take the "perfect shot", and I'll help you get the absolute most out of it - your printer or mine.
I specialize in serving the digital post-processing needs of photographers, whether it’s Photoshop Instruction & Services, LightJet Digital Prints & Finishing, or Color Management Products & Services.

Photoshop 101 - Class 2: Control your Contrast & Color
·OnlineOnlineFREE TO ATTEND! - So, have you ever asked yourself, “What makes a good color print, and how do I use the basics of Photoshop to achieve my desired results?” - If so, then this online workshop is for you! Using the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super Simple) method, we'll learn how to take well-exposed digital images and improve them, sometimes dramatically, with just a few key but critical functions.
Those who RSVP are encouraged to pre-submit one or two unedited but well-exposed JPG, RAW or TIFF files - "problem" files encouraged! Although we'll probably only get to 6 or 7 of these files during this Meetup, we'll use them throughout the seminar to put what we've learned into practice. If possible, please send your file "un-enhanced", with no Photoshop or Lightroom work.

Photoshop 101 - Class 3: RAW Fundamentals
·OnlineOnlineFREE TO ATTEND! - The Adobe Camera RAW Plug-in (included in Photoshop) is a powerful program that gives you the ability to properly optimize your camera RAW files before importing them into Photoshop.
A Camera RAW file is different from a JPEG in many respects — Bottom line: you’ll capture much more information to work with in a RAW file than you will with a JPEG, and information is king! John Watts will demonstrate why you should be shooting RAW for your important work - it should be foundational to your overall workflow ... the results are worth it!
Those who RSVP are encouraged to pre-submit one unedited RAW file - "problem" files encouraged! Although we may only get to 6 or 7 images, we'll use them throughout the seminar to put what we've learned into practice. Photoshop 101 - Class 4: Master File Creation and Workflow
·OnlineOnlineFREE TO ATTEND! - Master File Creation and Proper Workflow should be essential elements in how you approach and use Photoshop, regardless of the version. Consider this class the culmination of Classes 1 through 3.
Creating a Master File is NOT for every image: it’s for those images that you want to spend time with, doing all that’s necessary to make your image “pretty”. It’s also important to standardize your Workflow: adjusting your contrast should be done before color correction, cropping should be done before sharpening, and so on.
So here's what we'll do: I'll spend time creating about a half-dozen of YOUR Master Files from start to finish, using a standardized workflow.

• That's a total of 4.5 hours of personalized, "hands-on" group photoshop instruction, with only you, 4 other students, & myself - again, using images provided by the students, in a seminar-type format. ...
