• San Diego Rust December Meetup - Rust 2018 Overview + Memory Allocator?
Come join us downtown for food and fun while we continue learning Rust. This meetup will include a lighting talk about the changes in Rust 2018 edition and possibly a challenge in writing a custom memory allocator. San Diego Rust meets the second Thursday of every month. Free pizza and drinks (beer and non-alcoholic) provided by güdTECH. Parking: Street parking on 6th, 7th & 8th Avenues north of B Street is usually easy at that hour. Meters are free after 6. Be wary of signage if you park on A street. Meeting Prep: Bringing a laptop with the Rust compiler already installed (https://www.rust-lang.org/en-US/install.html) is highly recommended. If you don't have a laptop, no worries, we usually share a screen on projectors/TVs in the meeting space so everyone in a group can watch as the meeting exercise comes together. Meeting Agenda: 1. Eat & Greet 2. Lightning talks (if any) 3. Main topic Chat: Have questions? You can join our group chat on Gitter and ask them, or post questions here on Meetup in the box provided below.
