This is a group for inline skaters and roller-skaters (not for beginners / entry level) who can skate at an intermediate level or above. Meaning that you are experienced with negotiating turns and obstacles, such as cyclists, pedestrians, and dogs. Have the ability to handle terrain changes safely. That you are able to slow down and stop in a safe manner without making contact with other skaters, people, or street furniture. Benches, signs, lights, fountains, etc.
This is a non competitive "social skate" at various locations along the San Diego coastline. Adults only please. We also offer night skating, skateparks, pumptrack, rinks, slalom, dance and more. We do meetups out of town too on occasion.
Mainly flat and smooth routes. Some residential on occasion, but minimal. Skate at your own risk. Each member acknowledges, and agrees that the organizer of this group accepts no responsibility for any accidents, injuries, loss or damage howsoever caused to yourself, or a third party that may occur whilst taking part in a meetup event at any venue. Protective gear is recommended, but is not mandatory. Please know your limits, and do not risk skating above them. Please skate safely and obey the rules of the road, but most of all... have fun!
Join us for a fun skate along the harbor, and through the streets of Downtown. A scenic route that is flat with the exception of one bridge. We will cross it twice. This route is not for beginners. Intermediates and up only please. Our pace will be moderate.
The surface along this route is mainly concrete, but there will be surface changes such as asphalt, marble/brick. We will be skating in the streets at times. Knowing how to control your speed and stop is advised. If you have a light, or something for added visibility, feel free to bring it with you.
If you plan on attending, please RSVP. Even by the day of. This helps us know to look for you before we begin. Adults only.
Come skate the PHR pumptrack. Two smooth concrete tracks. There's also a small skatepark located on the opposite side of this community park behind the gymnasium. Pumptrack or skatepark not your thing, no problem, there are other large areas to skate here. Lots of smooth concrete.
Protective gear is recommended for the pumptrack and skatepark, but is not mandatory.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend. Even by the day of. This will help me know to look for you.
