Hello women Veterans of San Diego! This is the group for you! We create community for women Veterans. You are welcome and you belong here. Please join us to learn, share, network and meet phenomenal women. We offer two meetups per month (sometimes more!) with a variety events, spanning topics for personal, academic, and professional improvement.

Women Warrior Walk!

Lake Murray

Summer is over and it's back to the groove, need a break?! Join SDWVN's monthly Women Warrior Walk and enjoy some time outside! Who: Open to all San Diego women veterans and supporters. Family members of all ages and pets (depending on trail regulations) are also welcome! What: Monthly walks to exchange ideas and enjoy each others company When: The 2nd Saturday of the month. Plan for these walks to take around 2 hours. Where: This months walk is at LAKE MURRAY -Meet in the parking lot around 8:45am, plan to start the walk at 9:00am. -Trail locations can change month-to-month, the new location will always be updated on meetup. What to bring: -Comfortable footwear -Hiking poles if needed -Sunscreen -Sunglasses/ Hat -Water -Ideas and plans for the upcoming year!!! We look forward to seeing you all at Lake Murray!

2019 Lead and Empower Her Conference

Women's Health Transition Training (Option 1)

Point Loma Nazarene University - Mission Valley Regional Center

The Women’s Health Services Office at the Department of Veterans Affairs partnered with the Air Force and the SDWVN to host this training that provides servicewomen with a deeper understanding of the women’s health services available to them within the VA health care system. The course will cover the following:  The transformed culture of VA for both male and female patients  Range of women’s health and mental health care services and available benefits  Eligibility for and enrollment in VA health care  Expectations for women to proactively seek health care services post-separation  Logistical details such as facility structure, locations, and points of contact  Available transition support services The course will be interactive, with opportunities to personalize training content, and will be led by a female Veteran. There will be two sessions on Friday, 22 March Option 1: 0800 – 1200 Option 2: 1300 - 1700. For any questions, comments, or concerns, please call[masked]. Dress code is civilian casual. This course is open to all military women, preferably Active Duty Servicewomen (all branches) transitioning in the next year or women Veterans who have transitioned in the past 10 years. We hope you will be able to join us for this useful and informative training! Two sessions available, please only sign up for one. Class is limited to 20 women per session.
