'Twas the night after Christmas,
And all through the room,
Anyone who was stirring
Was stirring on Zoom.

Christmas is when Hollywood releases most of its best movies. Let's celebrate the day after Christmas by playing SONGS FROM FILMS. These songs can be Oscar winning songs, songs from musicals, or songs that just happened to show up in a film. The only requirement is that the song has to have appeared in a movie.

Here's tonight's tentative playlist. We'll get to as many of these as we can between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm before finnishing with "We'll Meet Again." A list of links to pdfs for the songs not in the Yellow or Blue books has been posted in the comments (scroll to the bottom of the comments section). If you'd like to lead a song, please let me know, either by posting here in the comments or by email, which song(s) you would like to lead by NO LATER THAN THE TUESDAY BEFORE THE MEETING (for this meeting, Tuesday September 29), even if you're going to be leading a song from one of the Daily Ukulele books. I'll post a songlist here in advance of our meeting.

I'll be posting all songs onscreen. It's always nice hearing other people singing and playing, so we'll take turns leading songs again, like we do at our in-person meetups. Feel free to suggest a song, even if you don't want to lead it.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO LEAD A SONG USING SHEET MUSIC OR A CHORD CHART THAT ISN'T IN EITHER THE YELLOW BOOK OR THE BLUE BOOK, EMAIL THE DOCUMENT TO ME IN DIGITAL FORMAT IN ADVANCE SO THAT I CAN POST IT ON THE SCREEN FOR OTHERS.

The Yellow Book and the Blue Book are available in digital format at dropbox.
