Learn to Row @ LGRC - Session4
Ever wanted to try out rowing? Want an all-body workout great for all ages - all that sitting down? It's fun and no experience is required! All ages (over 18) and all abilities are welcome, although you must be able to swim and lift 30 lbs overhead. Classes begin with learning basic rowing stroke technique on Concept 2 indoor rowing machines. You'll learn important boat and equipment handling, and the fundamentals of water safety and then will take to the water in an 8-person shell. Occasionally, weather conditions might require that class be taught in a rowing barge. This is the perfect introduction to rowing and is a pre-requisite to joining the Novice Coached Program. Class participants are invited to try out the Novice Coached Program at no charge for one month after completing Learn-To-Row. All sessions are on Saturday/Sunday mornings, 9-Noon - 3 classes over two consecutive weekends. Click on below links for more details and sign-ups!
