Fallen into a rut where reading is concerned?  Although David Spade's Almost Interesting was hilarious (I did develop a renewed appreciation for Chris Farley,) and I love re-runs of Seinfeld, neither expand my interests or understanding of the world.  I think I might actually be dumber than when I graduated college.

We are hoping to find ten, 30+ men and women who want to read and vigorously discuss accessible, yet mind challenging fiction and non-fiction over cocktails on a monthly basis. We will draw our material from the following two lists.

www.modernlibrary.com/top-100/100-best-novels/ 100 Best Novels

www.modernlibrary.com/top-100/100-best-nonfiction/ 100 Best Non-Fiction

We are absolutely open to the critic's and reader's choice versions of the top 100 lists as well.  We think comparing the subject matter and quality of the thinking from both viewpoints could be interesting.
