A nice hike to the waterfall at Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The hike isabout 7 miles round trip and will take an estimated 3-4 hours. It is allflat with a little rock climbing when we get to the falls if you reallywant to get close to the water. Wear non-slip shoes since the rocks areworn smooth in spots. Bring some water and light snacks for the hike.Dress in layers, and don't forget the sunscreen. After the hike we candecide where to go for lunch.

Directions: Take the 15 Fwy. and EXIT at Scripps Poway Parkway / Mercy Rd. and proceedWEST on Mercy Rd. Mercy Rd. will dead end at Black Mountain Rd. Makea RIGHT turn and then an immediate LEFT turn in to CanyonsidePark. Proceed to to parking lots towards the back of the park. That is where the entrance to the hiking trail is.
