  • A traditional single nude model drawing session run by volunteers that has been going on for decades. Populated by artists of varying abilities and ages, some still in high school. The group is fun and supportive and the cost is just $8.
  • The group meets at the Palo Alto Art Center, http://www.paacf.org/, which is located at 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto.

The models come from the Palo Alto Models Guild.  Unfortunately they don't have a web site but do have a facebook page, but they are a long standing source of artists' models for the San Francisco Bay Area.  They range in age and body type making for an interesting and different experience everytime you go.

Model time is 7:15 pm and ends at 9:45.  We begin with five 2 minute poses and two 5 minute poses, then we go to two 10 minutes poses.  After these, each pose last 20 minutes untill the end of the night.  There is a short break every 20 minutes and tipping the model is very much encouraged.

Dry and water based mediums are most appreciated, as these are the easiest to clean up.  This being an interim facility an appreciation and respect of these borrowed facilities is needed so we do not lose the use of this space.  We all pitch in at the end of the session in order to put the facility back into its previous or better condition.

All that being said, please come and enjoy yourself, while stretching your figure drawing legs.
