What we're about
The Sangre de Cristo Needlepointers is a chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild (http://www.needlepoint.org)(ANG), a non-profit organization whose purpose is educational and cultural development through participation in and encouragement of interest in the art of needlepoint. ANG defines needlepoint as any counted or free stitchery worked by hand with a threaded needle on a readily countable ground. Membership in the Sangre de Cristo Needlepointers is open to all stitchers, amateur and professional, novice and experienced, and everything in between. The only criterion for membership is a love of needlepoint and a desire to learn more about this popular art. In order to be a member of Sangre de Cristo Needlepointers, one must joint the ANG, as well.
We currently have over 50 members from New Mexico as well as surrounding states. We meet the third Saturday of each month, except in November and December when we have our annual holiday event. The chapter undertakes chapter and community projects, hosts monthly stitch-ins, and workshops with national teachers. Please contact email@example.com for more information regarding the location of our meetings and to receive a prospective member packet.
