You’re Invited to Hike with 3rd District County Supervisor Joan Hartmann!
Details
Join us on Sunday, September 9th for a hike with Supervisor Joan Hartmann in celebration of our natural resources along the beautiful Rattlesnake Trail in the Santa Barbara front country.
We will meet at the Skofield Park at 9am. From Skofield Park we will walk over to the Rattlesnake Canyon Wilderness to begin our hike. The route provides some shade near the bottom of the trail, but is exposed near the top. As you gain altitude and leave the streamside riparian habitat expect to see views of Santa Barbara, the Pacific Ocean, and the Channel Islands.
Our destination is Tin Can Meadow, which is named after a homestead cabin that burned down in 1925.
You can learn more about Supervisor Hartmann’s vision for the future of recreation in Santa Barbara County and how you can become an open-space, trails, and parks advocate in our County.
