Interested in playing pipes or drums? Come check us out at our weekly rehearsal!
Weekly rehearsals are now on Wednesdays, beginning at 7:30 p.m. If you're a piper, bring your practice chanter and/or pipes; drummers bring sticks and a pad. If you're interested in learning to play pipes or drums, just bring yourself! We usually take off a month in the summer and a few weeks around Christmas.

What we're about

The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office Pipe Band is comprised of volunteers who give their time to perform in community parades, civic events, and funerals for police, firefighters, and military personnel. Membership is open to all that wish to participate. There are no dues or fees to join, just your enthusiasm and interest in becoming a member of our incredibly fun musical organization. The band rehearses every Wednesday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Richey Hall Justice Training Center, located at 155 W. Hedding Street. Bagpipe instruction is under the direction of Pipe Sergeant Jonas Pauliukonis, former P/M of the Prince Charles Pipe Band, Grades II and III. Drum instruction is under the direction of Brian Molver, former side drummer with the Prince Charles and SF Irish Pipe Bands, and two-time recipient of the Caledonian Club of San Francisco’s Winston Churchill Trophy in 2008-2009.
