What's your favorite Santa Cruz Mountain wine tasting experience?

I recently participated in the Vintner's Festival and had a wonderful experience at Nonno's in Redwood estates. The setting was rustic and the proprietor was generous, passionate and a quality character. The wines were blends crafted from the "seconds" purchased from other wineries in the area. The wine was interesting but the experience of being on the property was magical. My friend and I met some wonderful people as we sat at the community tables.

What Santa Cruz Mountain Winery would you like to learn more about and/or visit for the 1st time?

Is Ridge considered at SC Mountain Winery? I know it's in this viticulture area. I have savored their wines and know they are a premier winery in our area. Testarossa is another winery I'd like to visit.

What would you say your wine tasting experience level is at ? (Beginner/Novice/Advanced/Expert)

I am a novice+.

What type of Event would you like to see this group Create/Sponsor ?

There is a wonderful new documentary out called "Somm" by Jason Wise. It was featured during the Paso Robles, SLO film festival. It chronicled several sommelier's studying for their Master Sommelier exams. It was fantastic. Perhaps we could pitch this movie to the Nick? Blind tasting parties could be another fun event.

I am a "late bloomer" to wine but I just completed a year's sabbatical working at JUSTIN Vineyards in Paso Robles. I valued witnessing an entire season in the vineyards and experiencing the crush. I am ready to savor more wine with good people!
